Cape Dory certainly got it right when they designed the 28 Open full keel Down East fisherman with lobster boat lines and quality construction. She features a large, uncluttered cockpit with a flush deck engine hatch. The two tall pedestals; chairs provide great sight lines in all directions. The interior features a small galley with a sink, refrigerator, an enclosed head with a shower, and adult size V-berths forward. The cockpit was designed for up to three anglers. However, it is also large enough for 4-6 deck chairs and beverage coolers.
Her wide side decks and tall bow rails make it easy to get around the boat when docking. This a comfortable cruiser that will turn heads wherever she goes. The owner has always well maintained her, but he has retired from boating and reluctantly decided to sell her. It is very rare to see this type of boat on inland rivers.
